Upside Down

The design potential of nature plays a role in many of Floris Wubben’s designs. That is also the case with Upside Down, a chair constructed from an upside-down pollard willow. The legs of the chair are made by splitting, bending and turning willow twigs. The object acquires its final shape once it has dried. This sculpture was made in collaboration with artist Bauke Fokkema.
